In Vivo Skin Optical Clearing Kit achieves optical clearing of in vivo mice skin based on tissue refractive index matching. It can significantly enhance the imaging depth of in vivo research animal skin, allowing non-invasive acquisition of images of cells and microvessels in deeper skin layers.
Directions for Use
INTENDED USE:Before starting, first depilate the target area on the mice and observe the skin condition. If the skin appears whitish, it indicates that the skin is thick and not suitable for clearing. Use pressure-sensitive tape to adhere 4-6 times to the target area to remove the stratum corneum( the number of tape applications can be adjusted based on the thickness of the skin). A reflective effect on the skin surface indicates successful removal. Apply a small amount of optical clearing agent using a medical cotton swab to the target area and gently massage the skin, which will begin to become transparent. Add 1-2 mL of the optical clearing agent to the target area, ensuring it covers the skin completely (it can be secured with dental cement or similar methods) and let it sit for 1 minute. During imaging experiments, keep the optical clearing agent on the skin, and after the experiment, the skin can be cleaned with saline or PBS. It is not recommended to repeatedly clear the same skin area.
